Alternative Schools Programme (13-16)

The Alternative Education Programme works with young people from local secondary schools in a development programme that enhances personal, social and emotional development. This will enable them to make positive changes in their behaviour and attitudes, allowing them to reintegrate successfully into school.

Young people are helped to develop an emotional vocabulary, use emotions to inform their thinking and behaviour, develop listening skills, develop communication skills, develop the ability to form social networks and develop skills and strategies to manage a range of emotions so that they can control their behaviour and cope confidently in a range of situations.
