Volunteer Staff

We are very fortunate to have about twenty voluntary staff that work on a regular basis. Volunteers work as learning mentors on the alternative education programme, enabling individual support to be provided to each young person. Volunteer staff also work in the young parents group, evening youth sessions and as receptionists.

Volunteer hours and days vary according to individual circumstances but without their contribution the high quality of the work would suffer.

The invaluable work of the volunteer not only benefits the project, but also benefits the volunteer. “This work has helped me to decide on my future career and I would like to do social work”

All volunteers are registered with Wirral CVS and receive recognition for their work. This may be a 100 hour certificate, long service award and, in some cases, nomination for volunteer of the year award.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us either by phone or via the online enquiry form.
